Hakone ryokans under $300 a night

Four Hakone ryokans we list had an Agoda rate under $300 a night for two on at least one of ten sample nights from November 2026 to March 2027: Fuji-Hakone Guest House ($114), Hotel Senkei ($160), Hakone Yumoto Onsen Tsuki no Yado Sara ($199) and Ryokan Aura Tachibana ($216).

Those lowest rates are for each inn's lowest-priced room, and none of those room names mentions dinner. Tuesday nights were cheaper than Saturdays at every inn. Suiun ($315) and Ryokan Motoyu Kansuiro ($327) were just over.

Which Hakone ryokans cost under $300 a night?

Of the Hakone ryokans we list, four had an Agoda rate under $300 a night for two adults on at least one of ten sample nights from November 2026 to March 2027: Fuji-Hakone Guest House ($114), Hotel Senkei ($160), Hakone Yumoto Onsen Tsuki no Yado Sara ($199) and Ryokan Aura Tachibana ($216). Rates were taken from Agoda on October 20, 2026 and change daily.

How much does a Hakone ryokan cost per night?

Across the 12 Hakone inns we list that had rooms on Agoda, the typical nightly rate for two ranged from $133 to $1,062, and the middle inn sat at $442. Those are Agoda’s rates for the lowest-priced room each night; rooms with a private bath and dinner cost more.

Do the cheapest Hakone ryokan rates include dinner?

Agoda’s data says whether a rate includes breakfast, not dinner; a room name that mentions dinner includes it. At the lowest rate, Fuji-Hakone Guest House and Ryokan Aura Tachibana included breakfast and Hotel Senkei and Hakone Yumoto Onsen Tsuki no Yado Sara did not, and none of the four room names mentions dinner. Fuji-Hakone Guest House serves no dinner at all.

Is there a Hakone ryokan with a private onsen under $300?

Hotel Senkei is the closest fit: every room in its main hotel has a hot spring bath, and its lowest Agoda rate was $160 for a 12-tatami Japanese-style room. Its Agoda listing also sells an annex whose rooms have no onsen, so check the room description. Every room at Hakone Yumoto Onsen Tsuki no Yado Sara has an open-air bath, but most use heated water rather than hot spring water.

When are Hakone ryokans cheapest?

Midweek. Tuesday nights were cheaper than Saturday nights at all twelve inns with rooms on Agoda. Book early for autumn: on Saturday, November 14, 2026, only one of the fourteen inns we list had a room on Agoda.

Why are these prices in dollars when the inns quote yen?

These are Agoda’s nightly rates for two adults in one room, in US dollars, as Agoda’s affiliate data reported them. Agoda shows the final price, with any taxes and fees, at checkout. The inns’ own websites quote yen, usually per person with dinner and breakfast, so the two are not directly comparable.
