Karasawa is a family-run inn of about 16 rooms in Fujieminami, a residential district of Kanazawa about 3 km west of the station. Rooms are a mix of tatami rooms with futon looking onto the garden and Western-style rooms (Booking.com, Expedia). Breakfast is home-made, and the inn offers a free pick-up from Kanazawa Station. It is a plain, inexpensive base for Kenrokuen, Omicho market and the Higashi Chaya district, each about ten minutes by car, rather than a destination inn.
