Hanakoyado is a small inn of about ten rooms beside the steps up to Onsenji temple in Arima Onsen, the hot spring town in the hills above Kobe. Its baths use kinsen, the iron-rich golden water Arima is known for, and two private kinsen baths on the ground floor are fed from the Gosho source next door (IKYU, tattoofriendlyonsen.com). Guests can also use the half-open-air bath at the sister inn Tousen Goshoboh. Rooms are a mix of Japanese tatami rooms, Western twins and suites, some with a private onsen. Arima Onsen Station is about six minutes on foot; Kobe Sannomiya is about 30 minutes away.
