About
Yamamotoya has been an inn in Kinosaki since the Edo period, about 350 years by its own count, in a three-storey wooden building of the style rebuilt after the 1925 earthquake (kinosaki.com). It has 15 Japanese-style rooms; the Special Room looks onto a rock garden and has its own half-open-air bath. It sits on the willow-lined canal street at the centre of the town, which is the setting the seven-bath walk is for. Kinosaki Onsen Station is about ten minutes on foot.
