About
HOSHINOYA Taketomi Island is a village of 48 one-storey villas on Taketomi, a coral island of about 350 residents a short ferry ride from Ishigaki. The villas follow the island's own building rules: low stone walls, white coral-sand yards and living rooms open to the breeze, so the resort reads as part of the settlement rather than apart from it (Hoshino Resorts). Each villa takes one to three guests. There is a pool, a spa, two restaurants and a cafe lounge. A hotel bus meets the ferries at Taketomi Port. Ferries leave from Ishigaki Port, which is about 30 minutes by bus from New Ishigaki Airport.
