Hanataki is a ryokan at Iizaka Onsen, the hot spring town in the Surikami River valley on the northern edge of Fukushima city. Its open-air cypress bath is the reason people book it (Rakuten Travel). Rooms are Japanese style with a toilet but no bath of their own; the shared baths are the point. The inn has a lounge, a shop and free parking. Iizaka Onsen Station is about 25 minutes from Fukushima Station on the Fukushima Kotsu Iizaka Line, which makes it the easiest Fukushima onsen to reach from the Shinkansen.
