About
Hoshinoyado is a 21-room inn about 180 metres from the Shinkyo bridge, at the foot of the road up to Toshogu and the World Heritage shrines (Booking.com, Japanican). Rooms are tatami with futon, from plain rooms with shared facilities to suites with private bathrooms, looking onto a garden and the hills. Dinner is kaiseki built around hikiage yuba, the soy-milk skin that is Nikko's own dish, and guests can make yuba and tofu themselves. There are public baths and a private onsen that can be booked. Tobu-Nikko Station is about 15 minutes on foot or a short bus ride.
