About
Anjuan is a nine-room inn on the hilltop of the Nakamura castle ruins in Shimanto city, western Kochi, with a panoramic view of the Shimanto River, the river usually called Japan's last clear stream (IKYU, TripAdvisor). Despite being in the town centre it is quiet; the climb up the hill is the price of the view. There are two baths, a stone bath facing the river and a wooden one set in trees, plus Japanese rooms with tatami and futon. Nakamura Station on the Tosa Kuroshio Railway is about 10 minutes by taxi.
