About

Hoshinoya Tokyo is a singular concept: a vertical ryokan rising 17 floors above the business district of Otemachi, just minutes from the Imperial Palace. Each floor functions as a traditional Japanese inn layer — guests remove shoes on arrival and move through tatami-floored corridors, sleeping on futon beds, and bathing in a natural hot spring drawn from 1,500 meters below the city (the only natural spring in Tokyo's city center). The juxtaposition of ancient ryokan ritual and ultramodern urban skyscraper setting is intentional and extraordinary. Kaiseki meals prepared by Hoshino Resorts' acclaimed culinary team complete an experience that exists nowhere else in Japan.
